Getting into & around Seattle
By Air: Seatac Airport
Upon arriving at Seatac airport, the best way of getting into downtown Seattle would be taking the Link Light Rail.
Follow the signs towards Link Light Rail train, and before boarding, make sure to purchase a ticket from the ticket booth. You’ll want to get on the train heading NORTH, towards Northgate. Refer to a map to see which stop you’ll want to get off at.
By Train: Amtrak Train
The Amtrak train station for downtown Seattle is at King Street Station, located in Pioneer Square. After arriving to the station, we recommend catching a rideshare service, such as Lyft or Uber, to get to your final destination.
By inner city train: Link Light Rail
The Sound Transit Link Light Rail is a light rail rapid transit system serving the Seattle metropolitan area. You can either purchase an Orca card to reload as you like (which is also good for public buses), or you can purchase individual tickets from the ticket machine.
Link Light Rail train station stops:
By metro bus: King County Metro
Seattle has many metro buses in and around the city. To pay, you may either pay upon getting onto the bus at the front, or purchase a pre-filled ORCA card to tap when stepping onto the bus.
We also recommend downloading the One Bus Away app to see when the next bus arrives/departs at the stop near you.
By rideshare: Lyft or Uber
Not the most cost efficient way of getting around, but definitely one of the safest, is requesting Lyft or Uber rideshare. Download the appropriate app if you haven’t yet.
